Bi-flow, Tri-flow or Tri-spray – what does this all mean?

• The Tri-flow and Tri-spray are both water filter taps. These taps have three levers instead of the usual two, the third lever controls the filter water flow. Water filter cartridges that filter out chemicals and other water contaminants need to be replaced about every 6 months. These cartridges can be pricey but in the long run are very much cheaper than buying bottled water.  This is a fantastic option if you prefer bottled water to plain tap water, especially if you live in an area where the tap water is just plain unpalatable. The tri-spray tap includes an extra separate hand rinse.

How about a kettle tap?

I have to mention the Franke Minerva 3-in-1 Kettle tap. The ‘3-in-1’ means that this tap still produces hot and cold water but in addition it provides instant filtered, quality boiling water. No need to wait for the kettle to boil for your cup of coffee! The hot water tank is fitted under the counter top so it doesn’t clutter the counter surface. The Kettle tap is safe as a safety button has to be activated before any boiling water comes out.
